About the film:
Set over the course of seven days in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park, this compassionate drama follows José, an undocumented Mexican immigrant and bicycle delivery worker who leads a local soccer team. When his team reaches the finals, José faces a wrenching choice between playing with his teammates on the field or keeping the job that sustains their fragile lives. Told with tender realism and warmth, En el Séptimo Día reveals the rhythms of work, community, and joy in the everyday struggle for dignity in a city defined by its immigrant energy.
